Leah Potter-Weight

Leah Potter-Weight (she/her or they/them) is a teacher-facilitator with Seed & Bloom, bringing decades of experience in agriculture as well as passion and training in clinical social work. Leah began at Seed & Bloom as an intern through New Mexico Highlands University’s Master in Social Work Program, where they were supported to grow their social work skills while supporting the Seed & Bloom students’ passions and growth. The internship bolstered Leah’s skills in abolitionist social work, therapeutic horticulture, and much more. They are currently conducting an internship at El Centro Family Health in Espanola, NM, while finishing up their MSW program. In their former lives, Leah was a regenerative farmer, a farm educator, landscaper, psychology student, and more. In their freetime, Leah loves to garden, do arts and crafts, watch/read sci-fi and fantasy, pet their cat, and spend time in nature.
