New Mexico Farmers’ Market Institute

The Santa Fe Farmers’ Market Institute is a nonprofit organization that supports and strengthens northern New Mexico’s local food system by bolstering the work of the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market and the region’s agricultural producers. The Institute provides essential programs such as farmer microloans, food access initiatives, and infrastructure support—including management of the Market Pavilion—to help ensure that small-scale farmers can thrive. Through education, community engagement, and advocacy, the Institute works to preserve agricultural traditions, promote sustainable farming, and make fresh, locally grown food accessible to everyone.
